The Item Report is the Walmart export that carries the platform’s own verdict on each SKU as columns: published or not, lifecycle state, and whether a customer can find it. It carries no compliance attributes; those live in the Item Spec, an upload template whose version split changes the column names.

Walmart’s guide offers filters for published status, fulfillment type and date range. Leave all three unfiltered: a SKU you filter out is a SKU the file says nothing about, and nothing is not clean.
Walmart’s Marketplace Learn Reporting section listed four seller-generated reports when read on Aug 10, 2026: Item, Buy Box, Promotions and Consumer insights. The Item Report lists every SKU with its catalog state. Pull it first; on more than one marketplace, send one file each and say which is which.

This is the guide’s own enumerated list; the guide also states a higher column count than its list reaches, so columns not in this table are not wrong. Tell us which ones.
What is not there matters as much. No Prop 65 field, no battery field, no
chemical, aerosol or pesticide flag, no country of origin, no safety data sheet, no age
grading, no certification. So a scan of an Item Report runs the product-name checks for
claims and keywords, the category checks that read Product Category (or, where that is empty,
Shelf Name or Primary Cat Path), and the CPSC recall check on GTIN and
UPC. The attribute checks that need a Prop 65, battery, dangerous-goods,
country-of-origin or responsible-person column come back as not evaluated. Not evaluated is
not a pass.
Walmart’s guide defines the column as “Whether customers can
find your item on Walmart.com using the Search Bar.” It sits in the same report as
Publish Status, Lifecycle Status, Shelf Name,
Primary Cat Path and Buy Box Eligible: per SKU, what Walmart has
already decided.
Sort the file on Publish Status, keep the published rows, and
count the ones whose Searchable value is the negative one. Walmart’s guide
defines the column but does not print its values, so read the spelling your file uses. That is the number of published items a search cannot reach.
Walmart’s product detail page policy, last updated
May 21, 2026, states both consequences in one document. On search: “Your
product’s title, description, key features, images and additional attributes help determine how your items appear in search and browse results on
Walmart.com.” On the consequence: “Noncompliance may result in products being
unpublished.” The report shows you the resulting state; it does not say why, and
neither does this guide.
Walmart’s regulatory attributes are Item Spec fields, filled in on a bulk template and uploaded. Three schema files linked from Walmart’s item-spec-v4x developer page, plus the live spec API, were read on Aug 9, 2026, and they do not carry the same fields:

Your template’s spec version decides the column
names: one chemical, aerosol and pesticide field on 4.x; three plus a pesticide type on 5.0,
where a Yes on the pesticide flag needs a pesticide type. The hazmat layer (safety
data sheet, hazardous component count, the lithium battery block) sits in the WFS conversion
schema, so a merchant-fulfilled listing may carry none of it. And no watt-hour field appears
in the Item Spec under any spelling we have found (4.x carries batteryCapacity,
whose unit we have not read); among the three schema files read, the one place Walmart names
it is a nested JSON feed with no column-header layer, and the 5.0 spec was not read for it.
No publicly documented Walmart export carries a watt-hour column.
UPC and GTIN, and a 12 to 14 digit
code rendered as 1.23E+11. The file
still opens; the barcodes are wrong. Close it without saving.12" Skillet, Cast Iron does exactly this: in a

Publish Status is published and Searchable is
not Yes. Count them. Separately, list the rows with an empty or generic
Shelf Name. The report records each state; it does not say why a row is in
it.Buy Box Eligible carries the negative value on a published SKU.The Item Report is the platform-state half.
